How ParleSprint handles your data.

Last updated: July 19, 2026

ParleSprint (“Parle,” “we,” “us”) is an AI-powered French speaking tutor for iOS, Android, and web. This page explains, in plain language, what data we collect, why, who else sees it, and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

The short version

What we collect

Account information. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and, if you choose to share it, your name. This identifies your account and lets your progress follow you across devices.

Voice and speech. When you practice speaking with your AI tutor, your microphone audio is streamed to Google's Gemini Live API to generate a real-time spoken response, and transcribed for review. A text transcript of each practice session is stored on your device (and, once cross-device sync launches, in our database) so you can review your own history. Raw audio is not stored after the live session ends.

Text and practice content. Your written answers, exam responses, and chat messages with the tutor are sent to Google Gemini (and, if enabled, OpenRouter) to generate lessons, grade your work, and plan what to practice next.

Learning and progress data.We track which vocabulary, grammar points, and skills you've practiced, how well, and how often, so the app can personalize your daily lessons to focus on what you actually need. This is the core of how ParleSprint adapts to you — it is used to build your lesson plan, never to build an advertising profile or shared with any advertiser.

Usage and diagnostics. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the processors required to run the product, and only for that purpose:

We do not share data with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party. We do not sell data.

Where your data lives

Most of your learning data (vocabulary progress, session history, skill mastery) is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. Your account (sign-in identity) is managed by Supabase. As cross-device sync becomes available, the same data will also be stored in our Supabase database, protected by per-user access controls so only you can read your own records.

Your choices and rights

Children

ParleSprint is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at thoufeek@agiventures.ca and we will delete it.

Security

All network traffic between the app and our servers, and between our servers and Google/OpenRouter, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to stored data is restricted to what's required to operate the service.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and, for material changes affecting existing users, notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
