How to use it
croire means “to believe”. It is an irregular verb, so the present-tense stems have to be learned, but the endings still follow the usual pattern. In the passé composé it takes avoir: j’ai cru. The past participle is cru. Future and conditional share one stem: je croirai / je croirais.
