How to use it
vouloir means “to want”. It is an irregular verb, so the present-tense stems have to be learned, but the endings still follow the usual pattern. In the passé composé it takes avoir: j’ai voulu. The past participle is voulu. Future and conditional share one stem: je voudrai / je voudrais.
