How to use it
boire means “to drink”. It is an irregular verb, so the present-tense stems have to be learned, but the endings still follow the usual pattern. In the passé composé it takes avoir: j’ai bu. The past participle is bu. Future and conditional share one stem: je boirai / je boirais.
